Scoláireachtaí Ghaeltachta an Chiste Cuimhneacháin Ashling Murphy

Ashling Murphy was a dedicated múinteoir bunscoile with a deep grá for the Irish language and worked passionately to inspire her pupils and those around her to cherish and use our native tongue. Ashling's favourite seanfhocal was: “Mol an Óige agus Tiocfaidh Siad” – Praise the youth and they will flourish.

In Ashling’s memory, we were proud to launch the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund Gaeltacht Scholarships in 2025, in partnership with Coláiste Chamuis, Co. Galway – continuing Ashling’s wish to encourage the use of the Irish language among young people.
