Scoláireachtaí Ghaeltachta an Chiste Cuimhneacháin Ashling Murphy

Ashling Murphy was a dedicated múinteoir bunscoile with a deep grá for the Irish language and worked passionately to inspire her pupils and those around her to cherish and use our native tongue. Ashling's favourite seanfhocal was:

“Mol an Óige agus Tiocfaidh Siad” – Praise the youth and they will flourish.

In Ashling’s memory, we are proud to launch the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund Gaeltacht Scholarships, in partnership with Coláiste Chamuis, Co. Galway – continuing Ashling’s wish to encourage the use of the Irish language among young people.

Scholarship Details:
Who: Open to 2nd, 5th & Transition Year post-primary students
Where: Coláiste Chamuis, Ros a Mhíl, Co. Galway
When: 28th June – 17th July 2026 (inclusive)

Eight students will be awarded a heavily subsidised scholarship to this Gaeltacht cúrsa samhraidh.
